About us
Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education is a state institution in charge of the planning and coordination of all kinds of educational and training activities in pre-school, primary, secondary and adult education in Konya Province. Konya Province has 31 districts with 1.700 schools, 475.000 students and 24.500 teachers in total. Konya İl MEM is an umbrella organization for all these schools and institutions. Our Directorate includes Personnel, Appointment, Examination, Investigation and Evaluation, Culture, Education-Training and Student Affairs, Program Development, In-Service Training, EU Project Department, Computer and Test Services, Pre-Primary Education, Special Education and Guidance, Physical Training and Sports in School, Health Affairs, Services for Teacher and Social Affairs, Scholarships and Lodging, Private Education Institutions, Non-Formal Education, Apprenticeship and Vocational Technical Education, Research Planning and Statistics, Budget Investment and Facilities departments.
Mission
Konya İl Mem’s mission; is to ensure to boost efficiency and productivity of associated institutions and of employees and pleasure of worker and service fields; to develop education-teaching process by following modern innovations and advances, by carrying out researches; to improve and to implement laws and other regulations through the general goals and fundamental principles ofNational Education System in Konya Province.
Vision
Our vision; is to be a qualified, prominent institution that has reached the level to compete for equivalent institutions in Turkey and in modern countries with ensuring authentic contribution to the development of Turkish National Education System by providing effective use of knowledge, skill, value and technology required for Knowledge Era.

Emrah Kocak
Emrah Kocak graduated from English Langauge Teaching department of the Gazi University and started to work as a teacher of English in 2008. From 2008 to 2013 he worked at different schools as a teacher. He has been working at Projects Coordination Unit as projects expert for 7 years in Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education which is the man educational authority in Konya. He has realised and coordinated many international projects and he took part in many training courses in scope of youth in action programme.
He is experienced in coordinating and preparing seminars and conferences. He is responsible for Erasmus+ School Education Strategic Partnership Projects in Konya region. He has close cooperation with schools and he organises training activities for the teachers on how to write and run Erasmus+ projects. He is coordinating an Erasmus+ KA101 project for special education teachers. In scope of this project 40 special education teachers from Konya will join in service training courses in 4 different EU countries about evidence based practices in Autism Education such as ABA, PECS, TEACCH and Positive Behaviour Support. Emrah speaks Turkish and English.
